CorasWorks Releases New Rebranding Tool for Applications on Microsoft SharePoint
Design Manager Allows Customers to Rebrand CorasWorks-based Applications
Reston, VA – May 10, 2010 - CorasWorks Corporation, a leading provider of off-the-shelf business applications and solutions on the Microsoft SharePoint platform, today announced the release of Design Manager v1.0. The tool, which is available for download from the CorasWorks App Store, is a client-server application that allows users to quickly and easily rebrand applications, change the look and feel, and update application functionality.
With the Design Manager tool, users can apply pre-built templates to any existing application. Templates can include branding changes, look and feel updates, component upgrades, navigational elements or other similar changes. Templates can be applied to a single site or to multiple sites simultaneously.
“Our customers love the SharePoint-based apps they’re downloading from the CorasWorks App Store,” said Dan Naselius, Chief Operating Officer at CorasWorks. “But each of these unique customers has their own branding and look and feel or unique application needs. Design Manager allows them to quickly and easily change the apps to meet their specific needs. They can make changes to either the form or the function of the applications.”
In addition to the Design Manager, CorasWorks is also releasing a set of pre-built templates customers can use to rebrand their applications or sites. The CorasWorks Application Starter Templates v10.3 include tab-based navigation with data and information being displayed in a content panel. Users can also design and build their own templates to apply with Design Manager.
“We see an environment springing up where our customers, partners and third-party vendors are designing and building templates and making them available to the community, similar to how website templates are made available today,” said Naselius.
Design Manager v1.0 runs on either SharePoint 2007 or the new SharePoint 2010. It is available from the CorasWorks App Store free of charge to CorasWorks customers. The CorasWorks Application Starter Templates are also available from the App Store free of charge to CorasWorks customers.
