CorasWorks Introduces Interactive Data Visualization as Part of Its Data Integration Toolset Product
Partnership with AnyChart Extends Capabilities to Include Flash–based Charting
Reston, VA – June 1, 2009 – CorasWorks Corporation, a leading provider of software that makes it easier to develop applications on Microsoft SharePoint, today announced that it has reached an OEM agreement with AnyChart Company for its interactive data visualization software. Under the terms of the agreement, CorasWorks will offer the rich data visualization functionality developed by AnyChart as part of the CorasWorks Data Integration Toolset.
CorasWorks is best known for its Modular Application Development System, an application development system that has been deployed in more than 1,000 enterprises worldwide. The system enables organizations to design, build and manage applications in SharePoint without the costs and complexity of custom code development. Its Data Integration Toolset product is used to extend SharePoint applications to include external data and to build complete, end–to–end composite applications in SharePoint.
“Our Data Integration Toolset is a strong and feature–rich developer tool that allows you to integrate external data into your SharePoint-based solutions and applications,” said Darryl Eadi, Director of Partner Channel Management at CorasWorks. “Previously, we allowed our customers to feed that external data to third–party charting controls, like AnyChart for SharePoint. However, based on our customer feedback, and the market leadership and high value add of AnyChart, we were compelled to reach this agreement. The integration of the AnyChart for SharePoint product introduces a whole new level of interactive data visualization to the applications built with our Toolset product.”
The AnyChart for SharePoint product is based on AnyChart’s charting engine and is designed and optimized for Microsoft SharePoint. The flash–based charting engine includes a simple wizard to help configure charts and bind them to users’ data quickly and easily. With the Toolset, the charts can be used to display any data from SharePoint or from external sources, such as databases, applications, web services or http. Users can also create mashups of any of the data, perform data analysis, and do inline caching, then feed the data to the chart. The AnyChart for SharePoint product will be bundled in with the CorasWorks Data Integration Toolset at no additional cost and will be available to existing Toolset users who have a Premier Annual Support and Maintenance contract with CorasWorks.
