Inside Sales Representative – Northern Virginia ⁄ DC

Inside Sales Representative
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) will be responsible for responding to all inbound phone and email inquiries except where specifically directed to channel interested parties to other resources. ISR will be responsible for ’warming–up’ old sales opportunities, developing suspects into prospects, and sometimes closing sales for CorasWorks over the phone and via email. The Inside Sales Representative may be called on to support special sales and marketing events which require extensive pre–qualification work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Respond to and generate interest in CorasWorks software via email and phone activities.
  • Effectively execute a marketing plan to drive direct revenue from existing contacts database.
  • ’Warm-up’, qualify, and sometimes close new opportunities.
  • Convert suspects into prospects.
  • Manage and report activity, lead hand–off metrics, and pipeline development through defined organizational processes.

Measurement & Metrics
The Inside Sales Representative is measured against the following performance objectives:
  • Quantity of prospects generated
  • Quality of prospects generated
  • Overall revenue impact

Qualifications ⁄ Experience

  • A minimum of 3–5 years sales experience
  • Excellent phone skills and ability to rapidly qualify suspects into prospects
  • Microsoft Technology, especially Windows SharePoint Services and SharePoint Portal Server experience is desirable but not required
  • Proven track record of converting suspects to prospects
  • Aggressive new business development style and comfort level in opportunity development
  • Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving and analytical skills and a desire to win
  • Be able to exercise independent judgment and carries out duties and responsibilities with little supervision
  • Intelligent and energetic approach with obvious cultural sensitivity

Travel:
Employee will be required to work from their home office. Minimal travel may be required.

Compensation:
Includes base, variable bonus and commissions measured against plan.
