1. Multiple Lists, Libraries and Items
Since the data and key information of SharePoint resides in lists and libraries, productivity can be greatly enhanced or diminished based on how users are able to see, access, and work with that data. It’s more than just the inconvenience of going to multiple lists to see all the necessary data, it’s how that data is grouped, sorted, filtered, totaled, or otherwise displayed how the user needs to see it.
At the core is the barrier that the displays of SharePoint are tied to a single list or library. Further, they are data typed meaning that if you see only Events in a Calendar display.
CorasWorks approaches the entire system differently. The displays are separated from the data. You configure a display to connect to the lists or libraries that you want. Further, you can show any data within a display, thus, you can show tasks in a calendar display. You can also act on information in one step even if it is located in different lists and libraries.
We will describe four scenarios where this barrier can be a challenge and how they are overcome. You’ll be able to go into the Breeze Demonstration Environment and check them out on your own.
Integrated Marketing Calendar
In Breeze, the marketing organizations keeps two separate calendars, one for US and one for International. They would have to look at each of these calendars separately. The calendar display of CorasWorks shown below aggregates these two event lists to show a single display. Further, it shows them with color coding so that you can know the type of event.

Integrated Documents and the Ability to Act in One Step
Often, within a single workspace you have multiple document libraries. Usually you have to go to each library separately to see information. The CorasWorks Active Display shown below aggregates information from multiple document libraries to create a single Review and Approval process. Thus, you have a single display. However, in addition with the CorasWorks actions you can select multiple documents from different sources and act on them in one step. Here we are showing you changing the Reviewer. Or, you could Approve them. Or, you can send an email with them attached.

A Tasks Calendar
It makes sense. Often, you want to see tasks in a calendar display. This is best when tasks are milestones with the same start and due dates. Below is a calendar showing tasks by their due date. The color coding is also used to indicate their status. You can also use a calendar display to see Documents by review date. Or, you may want to see issues by their repoted date.
